NASK NANO Manufacturing Plant Sets Foot in Advanced Manufacturing Centre
Hong Kong-based pharmaceutical company, Profit Royal Pharmaceutical Limited (Profit Royal), renowned for its innovative NASK NANO Nanofiber technology, has officially established its presence in Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) at Hong Kong Science and Technology Corporation (HKSTP) located at Tseung Kwan O InnoPark. The grand opening ceremony took place on March 14th, 2024.
The opening lion dance ceremony was officiated by Ms. Sarinda Kwok, CEO of Profit Royal, Mr. Conroy Cheng, Chairman of Advance Pharmaceutical Company Limited, Prof. Stephen Wong, Head, United College and Professor, Department of Sports Education, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Mr. Oscar Wong, Head of Business Development, HKSTP. Over 100 distinguished guests from government departments, healthcare institutions, non-profit organizations, tertiary institutions and the business sector attended the ceremony and had the opportunity to tour the facilities and witness demonstrations of the research achievements.
In her speech, Ms. Sarinda Kwok stated, "NASK NANO's nanofiber technology has received numerous accolades on the international stage, including winning a gold award at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions and being selected as a finalist for the R&D Awards 100. These achievements showcase the international competitiveness and influence of Hong Kong's technological innovation." (Note: The R&D Awards 100, with over 60 years of history, are often referred to as the "Oscars of Innovation" and aim to recognize pioneering research and revolutionary ideas in the field of science and technology.)
Hong Kong at the Forefront of Technological Transformation, Paving the Way for the Future
Ms. Sarinda Kwok elaborated on the theme of the opening ceremony, "Invisible to Invincible," highlighting that despite the small size of nanofibers, they have the potential to address pain points in multiple domains and hold infinite possibilities to shape the future and open new chapters in technology. Just as Hong Kong has transformed from a small fishing village into an international financial center, Profit Royal has risen to the challenge from obscurity, applying its locally developed NASK NANO technology in the most urgent areas and assisting healthcare professionals in Hong Kong during the pandemic, telling a remarkable "Hong Kong success story."
Ms. Sarinda Kwok further emphasized Hong Kong's role, saying, "Although small in size, Hong Kong possesses unique geographical and cultural advantages that have bestowed immeasurable influence on the international stage. Similarly, NASK NANO, rooted in Hong Kong, is stepping onto the international platform, with international intergovernmental organizations responsible for public health procuring NASK NANO N95 nanofiber respirators."
During the grand opening event, guests had the opportunity to not only visit the manufacturing facilities but also witness demonstrations showcasing the applications of NASK NANO technology. These included personal protective equipment (such as antibacterial respirators), personal hygiene products (such as skincare diapers), high-efficiency filtration (such as energy-saving filters), functional textiles (such as waterproof breathable materials), and various applications in modern medicine (such as rapid testing, wound care, tissue engineering, and drug delivery, etc.).

At our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant located at Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC), Tseung Kwan O InnoPark, we not only manufacture respirators but also produce nanofibers for various applications, including adult and baby diapers, air filters, and medical devices.
