  • The founder of Profit Royal Pharmaceutical Ltd, which was established in 2008.
  • Served for multinational corporations with local and regional roles in the areas of business management, sourcing and quality management in industries such as electronics, semi-conductors and telecommunications.
  • Part-time lecturer in a local University, specializing in teaching business and management.
  • Obtained a degree of Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University of Technology in Australia and an MBA from Macquarie University.

Stephen Kwok

  • Over 30 years of experience in the field of Finance and Accounting field. He has accumulated working experience with various multinational corporations and has worked as a Finance Director at an MNC.

Dr. Boris Tong

  • Over 16 years of research and working experience in Biotechnology and Materials Science in The University of Hong Kong, University of Minnesota and NAMI, with active participation in R&D projects in healthcare, medical devices and nanofibers.
  • Over 40 publications related to nanofiber technology and electrospinning technique in international conferences and peer-reviewed journals including Biotechnology and Bioengineering & Nanomedicine.
  • Managing 20 Innovation & Technology Fund (ITF) projects since 2013, with a total project cost of over $79M.
  • Developing collaborative relationships with industrial partners, with industrial sponsorships of over $26M
  • Inventor of the World’s First N95-qualified Nanofiber Respirator – “NASK”.
  • Achieved various awards at the Young Persons’ Lecture Competition (IOM3), the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, and R&D100.
  • Obtained PhD from The University of Hong Kong.

Prof. Margaret Ip

•Professor and Chairman at Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Honorary Consultant at Department of Microbiology, Prince of Wales Hospital.

•She received her medical training at the University of Southampton and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom. She did her postgraduate Fellowship training in Clinical Microbiology and Infection at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

•She is a clinical microbiologist with experience in research on the epidemiology and antimicrobial resistance of clinically important bacterial pathogens, especially on Streptococcus pneumoniae and Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA). She has a strong interest in the development and assessment of clinical diagnostic methods and new treatment modalities. Over 200 peer-reviewed papers were published.

•She serves as Advisor and Member in a number of Scientific Committees on antimicrobial resistance and infection control and Associate Editors to Frontiers Microbiology and BMC Infectious Diseases, among other.

Prof. Alexander Y.L. LAU

•Neurologist and honorary clinical associate professor at the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics of the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).

•Medical Director of the Hong Kong Institute of Integrative Medicine of CUHK.

•After receiving undergraduate education in biochemistry at the University of Chicago in 1998, Dr. Lau returned to Hong Kong and obtained his medical degree from CUHK in 2003, followed by physician training in internal medicine and neurology at the Prince of Wales Hospital, the teaching hospital of CUHK.

•Awarded the gold medal of Best Thesis Award by the Hong Kong College of Physicians in 2010.

•Went to the University of California San Francisco for post-doctoral fellowship as a recipient of Croucher Foundation Fellowship and CUHK Henry Leung Fellowship in 2011.

•Joined CUHK Faculty of Medicine in 2015.

•Research focuses on stroke, multiple sclerosis, and integrative medicine.

•Joined the CUHK Medical Centre as a Consultant Neurologist in 2021.

Prof. LI, Yuguo

•Prof. Yuguo LI is the Chair Professor of Building Environment, Department of Mechanical Engineering, The University of Hong Kong.

•Associate Dean (Research), Faculty of Engineering, The University of Hong Kong.

•The work in his team has led to redefinition of transmission routes, new mechanisms of transmission, and intervention methods of SARS-CoV-2, which have been adopted by WHO, American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE) and other health and engineering authorities.

•The work in his team also led to the findings of the roles played by airflow in the 2003 Amoy Gardens SARS outbreak, demonstrated the co-existence of heat and cool islands in some cities, and explained urban heat dome phenomena.

•Editor-in-Chief of Indoor Air.

•He received Medal of Honour in Hong Kong, the Louise and Bill Holladay Distinguished Fellow Award from ASHRAE in 2021, and Honorary Doctor Degree of Aalborg University in 2015.

•He currently also serves as a member of the WHO Infection Prevention and Control ( IPC) Guidelines Development Group and WHO Environment and Engineering Control Expert Advisory Panel for COVID-19.

•Research interests include: Infection control and airborne transmission, ventilation, building energy efficiency, computational fluid dynamics, urban heat island and urban climate, indoor air science.

Prof. David Y.H. PUI

•Member, National Academy of Engineering (NAE), Director, Center for Filtration Research (CFR), Director, Particle Technology Laboratory (PTL).

•Professor David Pui’s Center for Filtration Research (CFR) consists of 20 leading international filtration manufacturers and end users.

•Filtration applications include respirator, indoor air cleaning, semiconductor manufacturing, engine emission control, and high purity water. He has a broad range of research experience in aerosol/ nanoparticle engineering and filtration technology and has over 350 journal papers and 40 patents.

•He has developed several widely used commercial aerosol instruments for PM2.5 measurements around the world. He is also a co-founder of Nanocopoeia biopharmaceutical company for nano-medicine production.

•His recent contributions involve developing green technologies for sustainable environment, including two Solar-Assisted Large-Scale Cleaning Systems (SALSCS) built in Xi’an and Yancheng in China, and two Air Purification Towers now operating in Delhi, India to combat hazardous pollution problems.

•Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the Asian Representative of the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance (AHKGA) Board and the Co-leader of the Active Healthy Kids Hong Kong Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth.

•His research focuses on physical activity and sedentary behaviour on children, and nutritional and metabolic aspects of exercise.

•Published extensively in the leading journals of his field.

•Serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Exercise Science & Fitness.
